Our Road Safety Auditors

Our Road Safety Auditors bring extensive experience from designing and implementing transportation projects through every commission stage. This broad knowledge base means that we place great emphasise on collaborating with the Design Team to arrive at practical and cost effective scheme solutions.

Our Road Safety Audit Process

Road Safety Audits are usually performed by the same team at specific stages throughout the design, construction, and early operational phases of a development or road project.

These stages include:

Stage F - Carried out at route selection stage, before fixing the emerging preferred route.
Stage 1 - Carried out at completion of the Preliminary Design prior to land acquisition.
Stage 2 - Carried out at completion of Detailed Design before tendering the construction contract.
Stage 1 & 2 - Carried out at completion of Detailed Design before tendering. Used with caution, only for small road improvements, for example a new farm access or the addition of a Stop line and Stop sign at a T-junction.
Stage 3 - Carried out following completion of construction, before opening the scheme to traffic whenever practical.
Stage 4 - Carried out in the early operation stage, conducted 2 to 4 months after opening the road traffic.
